Thanks for the comment. I wouldn’t say I have successfully dodged the envy. As a poet myself, of course I would love to have achieved this level of success, and especially at her age. It would be great to be able to write for a living without worrying about how I pay my bills. But, I choose not to focus on what I cannot control. I choose instead to be happy for someone else. And proud of their accomplishment.
