Stop Lying About Service Animals

There are people who actually need them and you are a selfish jerk

It’s no secret that you can buy your dog a vest or a harness that says it is a “service animal” from places online like Ebay or basically anywhere really. People who think they are smart, and who apparently can’t stand the thought of leaving their dog at home for a few hours while they go to the mall or to their local big box store, buy these vests and put them on their animals who are obviously anything but required for their well-being. They then walk them through areas where animals normally would not be allowed, and dare anyone to confront them over it.

These animals are generally not trained to be in these public places. If they happen to hike their leg up and piss all over a display of watermelons…oops. If they decide to take a big dump over in aisle 4 beside the chips and salsa, or in front of an ironically placed stack-base of paper towels, not their problem. If someone says something to the owner, they’ll arrogantly shout, “He’s certified! Want to see my paperwork?!” They do this because getting such paperwork is apparently as easy as getting one of the harnesses. It just costs about ten bucks.

So, what’s the problem here? The problem is, all these people so willfully claiming to need their animals for “therapy” or…
