Happy Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday. Nothing quite like chilling in the dark with a fresh bag of popcorn and settling in with a scary movie or two. Waiting for the trick-or-treaters to begin ringing the bell in their costumes, orange plastic pumpkins in hand.

Or maybe you’d prefer to settle in with some scary stories? A good book or a digital reader on your phone, held in the soft glow of a single lamp while you can hear the wind rattling the dried leaves through a cracked window and the distant laughter of neighborhood kids lost in the reverie of youth.

Well, if you prefer to read your horror, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve written quite a bit of horror fiction, and today I’m going to share some of those pieces in one location for any interested readers. These are mostly stories that can be found in my collection of short fiction called It’s Not All Bad.

First up, I offer to you this truly scary story about a young lady who finds that a particularly creepy painting left to her by her grandmother has begun to haunt her dreams.
