I’m sorry you disagree with my assessment. But I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. One must be aware that the NFL is known to exert unnecessary authority over their content, and probably feared what this poet could say if given a live platform to say it from. This is where my thought process takes me. This is how a poet who says she wants to lift up marginalized voices is instead given the duty of providing a puff piece for nationalism, when likely she could have at least mentioned the wrong done by the NFL to Colin Kaepernick if given that chance.
