A Note of Thanks
We’re just getting started
I started writing with Medium because I liked the simplicity of the platform, and I needed another outlet for my work. The fact that Medium offered a way for their writers to get paid for using their platform was just an added bonus. I never really expected to actually make much money doing it, and I still don’t expect that at all. However, this month I reached two milestones, after over a year of publishing on this site, and I just wanted to take a moment and say thanks.
First, thanks for helping me get over a thousand followers. Whatever made you decide to start following me here, whether it was my poetry, my satire, or my political write-ups, I hope that I can continue to provide you with engaging material and that you will stick around to see what I do next. I appreciate each and every person who reads my work. At the end of the day, that is the rewarding part of writing, knowing that someone took time out of their day to allow my words to take up space in their imagination. There’s really nothing else quite like it in the world of art.
Secondly, thanks for sharing my work with others, and helping me earn a decent chunk of change for my writing for the first time in my life. It’s definitely not something I expected, and as such, it is a pleasant surprise to look at my earnings for the month of September here and…
